          English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) provides English language instruction to adults whose first language is not English. It focuses on reading, writing, speaking, listening, vocabulary, grammar, and conversation with the goal of preparing students to use English for everyday life. It is designed to teach students to listen, speak, read, and write English in seven life-skills topics:  Communication, Civics, Family and Community Resources, Employment, Consumer Education, Health and Nutrition, Transportation and Travel, and Safety and Security. It is a non-credit program

การสมัครเรียน 
          ต้องสอบวัดระดับภาษาดูว่าอยู่เลเวลไหน (สอบฟรี) มีทั้งหมด 8 เลเวล ข้อสอบวัดทักษะการฟังและการอ่าน เรียกว่าข้อสอบ Comprehensive Adult  Student Assessment System (CASAS) คนที่ได้เลเวล4ขึ้นไปและอาศัยอยู่อเมริกามานาน 5 ปีหรือแต่งงานกับคนอเมริกันมาแล้ว3ปี สามารถเลือกเรียนคลาส Citizen ได้ด้วย จะสอนเกี่ยวกับการใช้ชีวิตในอเมริกาและภาษาอังกฤษ


ควรโทรสอบถามวันเวลาที่สามารถสอบวัดระดับภาษาได้จาก ESOL Office ก่อนไป และเตรียมเอกสารไปให้ครบ

เวลาเรียน
          เปิดเป็นเทอม Spring: January - May, Summer: May - August, Fall: August - December
ระยะเวลาเรียนเทอม/คอร์สละ 15 สัปดาห์ เรียน 2-4วันต่อสัปดาห์แล้วแต่เลเวล (ยิ่งเลเวลสูงๆ ก็จะไปโรงเรียนน้อย) เรียนวันละ 2-3 ชั่วโมง มี 3 ช่วงเวลาให้เลือกเรียน ไม่เปิดเสาร์ อาทิตย์ ถ้าเลเวล6ขึ้นไปจะเรียนแบบhybrid คือเรียนในห้องเรียนด้วยและเรียนผ่านคอมพิวเตอร์ (ในโรงเรียน และที่บ้าน)ด้วย

          Our English as a Second Language (ESL) classes meet on Mondays during the fall and spring semesters. We offer several different levels of conversational English classes ranging from the very basic beginner to the advanced speaker. All of our classes are led by a certified ESL teacher, and we have a very low teacher-student ratio to ensure that all students have ample opportunities to talk in class with native English speakers.

1.) ESOL Classes
          These small group classes are for English language learners through the Center for Adult Learning. There are 4 levels of classes that meet twice a week for 90 minutes. Registration is required. The Center for Adult Learning offers four levels of English classes. An assessment is required for class enrollment. Please call 630-2426 for more information and to schedule an assessment.
2.) Conversation Essentials -ESOL Conversation Group
          This free informal class offers a conversational English practice session for English language learners. Participants practice their speaking skills through facilitator prompted topics that incorporates vocabulary and key grammar points. This class is recommended for adults with intermediate level or above English speaking skills. No registration required.

6. International Learning Center

  • Ladies’ English Classes
          We offer six levels of English as a Second Language, as well as four levels of preparatory classes for those who are learning to read and write for the first time. A special reading class is part of our ESL curriculum for more specific help. All levels may not be available in both AM and PM classes. From time to time we take field trips to a grocery store, bank, clinic, library and easily affordable restaurants. There students learn and use the English needed for each place, gaining confidence for activities of daily living.
  • Men’s English Classes
          ESL Classes for men are on Tuesday & Thursday evenings from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. The men use the “Workplace Plus” curriculum, which emphasizes workplace English language skills.

          Community Evening English Language Program: The Program offers a combined-skills English language instruction approach for members of the community, visitors and business people during convenient evening hours.   
          New Students are placed in one of 4 levels of instructions. Students who fulfill the attendance and language proficiency requirements will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the 12-week course and will be promoted to the next level.
          Course Focus on Social conversation, Vocabulary, Reading and writing, Grammar, and American English expressions
           Lessons Include Listening activities, Pair and group work, Dialogues and role play
Grammar for social language, Real life reading practice, Writing for practical purposes, and Life skills
